The village Church, once the symbol of community development, neighborhood unity, extended family, and social and economic upward mobility, has fallen in lock step with the economic downturn facing urban communities across the country.
The persistent double digit levels of unemployment, continued destabilization of global economies, and the devaluation of the nation’s housing market, an unprecedented increase in families are being displaced through home foreclosure.
This has resulted in a complete decimation of "The urban Family", the primary economic support rafter of the village community house of worship.

The results of removing this key financial underpinning of the local church ministry can be evident in an urban landscape, scattered with hollowed empty edifices that once gave testimony to a community’s greatness.
If not addressed, the village spiritual centers will simply fade and give way to the unintended consequences of abandoned souls searching for light in the sprawl of structural, communal, societal and spiritual decomposition.

How will the Church respond to the challenges facing the Ministry?
